The challenge wasn't just performing the magic trick, it was capturing the emotional payoff in a cinematic way without revealing the production. I spent weeks developing a system that allowed us to intercept the content of the holiday cards and broadcast a live animation to a nearby video billboard. We complemented the tech with a full lighting takeover, controlling hundreds of fixtures to create perfect immersive visuals. To maintain the element of surprise, I deployed 13 hidden cameras with high-speed telephoto lenses, hiding operators in the crowd and in neighboring high-rises. We commanded the production from a 'NASA-style' control room, allowing us to maintain rigorous technical control while sharing a front-row seat with the Hallmark team as the magic unfolded.
