Pixar in Real Life
overview
I grew up on Pixar movies, so securing an Executive Producer role on a Pixar-themed show for Disney really was a dream come true. It was a joy collaborating with fellow EPs and longtime partners Charlie Todd and Andrew Soltys to build each episode from the Pixar source material I knew so well. We created a range of playful set pieces, including remote-control traffic cones (Toy Story), a fully functional WALL-E robot, and a floating balloon cart from Up. I stepped into the Director of Photography role, bringing many years of experience shooting hidden multi-camera work throughout NYC. We relied on fiber-optic systems to monitor our fleet of Arri cameras in video village, which we re-deployed to new locations daily. I also served as colorist during post-production, working closely with Disney for a seamless network delivery.
